Helping our Homeless Newcastle

We are Helping Our Homeless Newcastle, a University Society that aims to help homeless, rough sleepers and those in need in Newcastle and the surrounding areas.

Run by students, we aim to do all we can to help and show that anyone can help and get involved.

So welcome to our site! Watch the video to see the work we do with Destiny Streetworx, handing out food and parcels to those on the streets in Newcastle, look at our gallery and our projects to get a feel for what we do, and if you want to get involved we always welcome those who want to help!

The Committee

Matthew is a 3rd year Computer Science Student, who enjoys competing in Triathlons and playing video games outside of his university work

Razan is a 3rd year Law Student, who has done plenty of charity and volunteering work before joining university.

Joseph is a 3rd year Marine Technology Student, as well as active part of the Marine Projects society. He runs a 3:30 marathon and is a keen gamer.

Lucy is a 3rd year Politics and Sociology Student, who is in charge of running our ShoeBox appeal, as well as keeping the other projects on track!

The Members

Helping Our Homeless Newcastle has over 60 members in the society, from all years and degrees! Our members are the reason we are able to help and support those that we do, and without their help we wouldn’t be able to function as a society, nor do any of the work that we have done to help those in Newcastle.
