Helping our Homeless

We are Helping Our Homeless, an organisation that aims to help student run homeless societies and charities, offering advice, support and ensuring we can all do our best to help our friends on the street.

I am optimistic in the people’s capacity to fight back, but in the short term there is so much to do and not enough people to do it
— Ken Loach, May 2016

Our main aim is to promote education on homelessness; raising awareness of the realities for those on the street, removing the stigma surrounding homelessness, and spreading educating as many as we can as to how they can help.

We run workshops in schools on these issues. If you would be interested in one of our workshops, please contact us

Our Work

Starting as a society in Newcastle University, we are working on expanding our message and work with students across other Universities and colleges.

We focus on getting students involved in local homeless projects and work, spreading the idea of helping and supporting as many people as we can.
